Fastin Diet Pill Review

,
Paleo Smoothie :

There is one thing that you should know about Fastin reviews - which is that there are (or were) two different kinds of Fastin diet pills. If you are not careful, you could end up spending money on Fastin diet pills that are not as effective as you have been lead to believe.

You may have read a lot of Fastin reviews - if so, make sure that you can tell the difference between the two different kinds of Fastin. The old Fastin was made by King Pharmaceuticals and was pulled from the market. It is not available over the counter. The new Fastin is actually made by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, and it is nothing like the old Fastin phentermine. This new diet supplement has similar ingredients to the other over-the-counter fat-burning supplements on the market and is nothing special.

The old drug, Fastin phentermine,  is not available in the United States. It was used to treat obesity by reducing hunger and managing appetite. The idea behind this kind of diet pills is that if you do not feel like eating, it will reduce your tendency to snack. As a result, you will lose weight.

Unfortunately, the new Fastin diet pills do not contain phentermine, and will not reduce your appetite. Although the ingredients may help increase fat-burning, you're better off buying one of the many other diet supplements on the market that have similar ingredients. The reason for this is that Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals has been known to engage in auto-ship schemes and has a record of advertising its product as containing Fastin phentermine, which it does not.

Do not fall for these tricks! If you still want to try Fastin diet pills, make sure that any Fastin reviews you read state which version of Fastin is being reviewed. In general, however, my recommendation is to avoid this drug. There are other options out there that are more effective, and are made by companies that don't mislead their customers.

Be sure to check out the Best Diet Pill Reviews homepage where consumers like you can rank and review diet products.  By people like you taking part in the discussion, the diet community benefits by exposing the truth about which diets work and which don't.

Adrenal Fatigue

,
Paleo Smoothie :

The adrenal glands!!! Some would argue the most entertaining of all our glands! Really no one argues that. But they are interesting. The adrenal glands sit just on top of the kidneys. They secrete some really interesting hormones like cortisol (stimulates use of fat for energy production and regulates blood glucose levels, suppresses the immune system to fight inflammation), aldosterone (regulates electrolytes in the blood-ex. salt), DHEA (a steroid precursor to estrogen and testosterone), and catecholamines. The outer layer or cortex consists of three layers. The inner layer secretes DHEA, the middle layer secretes cortisol, and the outer layer releases aldosterone. The medulla or inner part of the gland secretes the catecholamines norepinephrine and epinephrine. These can increase cardiac output, cause vasoconstriction of blood vessels, and ratchet up the metabolism.

Adrenal Fatigue

So what happens when our adrenal glands aren't functioning properly? All kinds of un-enjoyable things! We can experience fatigue, constipation, allergies, asthma, depression, headache, dry skin, nervousness, irritability, muscle weakness, hypotension, and even liver spots!

So in the event that we suffer from adrenal insufficiency, what can we do about it? There are a host of natural interventions that can help to support and regulate normal adrenal function. Depending upon how a patient presents, some supplements may be more appropriate than others. For the patient that is stressed and filled with nervous energy Ashwaghanda and B6 is a good place to start. Ashwaghanda can help stimulate cortisol secretion and thereby mobilize fat for energy production. B6 can help with glucose tolerance and regulation of the metabolism. For those that are experiencing exhaustion and excessive stress, DHEA, licorice, Cordyceps, ginseng and B6 can all be helpful. Licorice (can elevate blood pressure), Cordyceps, Ashwaghanda, and Ginseng all function as adaptogens. Adaptogens help to regulate the metabolism. They help to support the adrenal glands and aid the body in achieving balance or homeostasis.

Specific glandular products can also be helpful. Porcine adrenal glandular products are generally preferable to bovine. Glandular products should contain pituitary, thyroid, gonadal, hypothalmus, and adrenal tissues. Many health food stores offer non animal based products with herbal formulas. They are generally combinations of the afore-mentioned adaptogens. These products help to support and regulate adrenal function leading to decreased feelings of fatigue, depression, and stress.

For those not interested in supplementation, dietary and lifestyle modification can be helpful. Stress reduction in the form of yoga, meditation, and bio-feedback have proven effective in the treatment of adrenal fatigue. In terms of our dietary choices, adding celtic sea salt, complex carbohydrates and omega 3's can also be helpful.

Why is Junk Food Unhealthy?

,
Paleo Smoothie :

Junk food can be very unhealthy for people if eaten too much and on a regular basis. Many nutritionists will advise people not to eat lots of this kind of food and to not include it in their diet as a regular nutrient. It has different reactions on different people and can affect their health in many ways.

Why is Junk Food Unhealthy?

Junk food often includes a very high content in salt, sugar and fats that can affect our cardiovascular functions; this is because the high content in fat will cause our arteries to clog causing our heart to suffer because it is put under a lot of strain. The high content in sugar that is found in many types of fast food can cause us many different types of illnesses and it can also ruin the enamel on our teeth causing them to rot.

The high content in salt is also very unhealthy and can also cause problems in our heart. People who suffer from obesity or that are over weight have a higher risk of cardiovascular problems caused by the higher fat and salt contents. This is because people who have weight problems have normally got heart problems already due to the fat around the heart. By adding more fats and salts to their organism they have a higher risk of heart problems.

Any person that eats this kind of menu on a regular basis has a very high risk of suffering with heart problems such as heart attacks. Junk food is not a healthy food at all and because of this it is advised to eat and drink very little amounts of these types of foods. Even for healthy people it is not advisable to eat lots of fast food.

For those people who like to eat junk food it is advisable to maintain a healthy diet on a regular basis and only eat it on rare occasions. If eaten on a very small basis the risk of illnesses that it can cause will be reduced.

Protein Breakdown

,
Paleo Smoothie :

It has become common knowledge that an important aspect in gaining muscle is protein consumption. Protein makes up between 15 and 20 percent of a person's bodyweight and is the second most abundant substance in the body, next to water of course.

Protein Breakdown

Protein itself is comprised of many amino-acids, 20 to be exact. These amino acids are further broken down into two categories, essential and non-essential.

Non-essential amino acids are produced naturally, by the liver. On the flipside, essential amino acids can only be attained by dietary means. A diet rich in essential amino acids is very important in the muscle building process. Below is a list of the essential and non-essential amino acids.

Essential Amino Acids

Histidine
Isoleucine
Leucine
Valine
Lysine
Methionine
Phenylalanine
Threonine
Tryptophan

Non-Essential Amino Acids

Alanine
Arginine
Asparagine
Aspartic Acid
Cysteine
Glutamic Acid
Glutamine
Glycine
Proline
Serine
Tyrosine

In order to achieve the correct ratio of these amino acids, one must consume complete protein sources. Protein Powder and eggs are some examples of complete protein sources. Below is a list of complete protein sources.

Complete Protein sources

Protein Powder
Egg Whites
Turkey
Fish
Shellfish
Chicken breast
Lean beef (sirloin, flank, lean ground beef)
Dairy Products (low fat milk, low fat cheese)
Legumes (beans, peas, lentils)
Nuts

Eating a mixture of these complete protein sources places the body in a positive nitrogen state, which is optimal for muscle growth. The greater the nitrogen state, the faster you recover from your grueling workout. Whatever your physique goals are, eating a combination of the various complete protein sources should be high on your list of priorities.

List of High Protein Foods

,
Paleo Smoothie :

High protein foods are great for packing on extra muscle. To make sure that your diet is filled with muscle-building proteins, it is extremely important to consider which high protein foods you should consume during your daily eating routine. To help you select the best high protein foods for your diet, we've compiled a list of some of the most protein-packed foods that you can find in your average grocery store.

List of High Protein Foods

You will notice that the list covers a broad variety of high protein foods. This was done intentionally so that you can compare food types and have more options to add to your daily meals.

The list:

(all nutrition estimates are based on standard single servings)

Peanut butter (2 tbsp)

Protein- 8 g

Calories- 188

Fat- 16 g

Raw almonds (19 pieces)

Calories- 179

Deli turkey (1 oz)

Protein- 4 g

Calories- 31

Fat- 1 g

Findings:

High protein foods vary substantially in protein, fat, and calorie content per serving. Some of the best high protein foods have high fat counts; however, it is important to consider that not all fats are bad for you, and some can be very beneficial to your diet- even if weight loss is your top priority. Almonds, for example, are rich in omega three fatty acids but low in saturated fats.

In general, if you are looking for an efficient way to increase your protein count but keep your calorie and fat intakes minimal, than fish and lean meats are an effective option. Canned tuna (hold the mayo) tops the list as the most efficient protein source. Skinless chicken breasts, deli turkey, ground turkey, and lean ground beef are also highly efficient high protein foods.

L-Proline Nutrition

,
Paleo Smoothie :

L-Proline, an essential amino acid, is a precursor, along with vitamin C, of collagen. Collagen is a building block of tendons, ligaments, arteries, veins and muscles--the heart muscle in particular; collagen also helps heal cartilage, and cushions joints and vertebrae.

L-Proline Nutrition

L-Proline is important in wound healing, cartilage building, and in flexible joints and muscle support. It also helps reduce the sagging, wrinkling, and aging of skin resulting from exposure to the sun.

L-Proline, by breaking down protein, helps create healthy cells. It is essential both to skin health, and for the creation of healthy connective tissues and also muscular tissue maintenance.

The Signs of L-Proline Deficiency

Because the body, when its glucose levels drop too low, "eats" muscles for energy, L-Proline deficiencies may occur in endurance runners and others who do prolonged exercises; these individuals, in order to prevent muscle loss, may benefit from L-Proline supplementation.

Those who have suffered from traumatic injuries--in particular, skin injuries, and severe burns--and people with pain resulting from insufficient cartilage or collagen formation could also be L-Proline deficient.

Small amounts of protein are available in meat, dairy products, and eggs.

Anyone wondering if he or she would benefit from L-Proline supplementation should consult a physician.

Supplemental L-Proline is available as stand-alone capsules, and tablets, and is often found in sports drinks.

Because excessive amino acids can disrupt the citric acid cycle balance, and to make the liver and the kidneys work harder to eliminate wastes,
those with liver and/or kidney disease consult their physicians before using an L-Proline supplement.

Our Tip on Choosing an L-Proline Supplement

Because the production of nutritional supplements in the U.S. other countries is largely unregulated, both government and private research has determined that health consumers only have a 20% chance of buying a product that contains the same ingredients stated on its label, or worse still, a product that is not contaminated with harmful toxins.

Because of this, we suggest that you only purchase from pharmaceutical GMP compliant facilities, which adhere to the world's most exacting manufacturing standards. By doing as we suggest, you will be assured of getting the amount of L-Proline you paid for, in uncontaminated form.

What Foods Contain Folic Acid?

,
Paleo Smoothie :

Many people are lacking in folic acid as well as vitamin B. Apart from taking a supplement, the only way to get sufficient amounts is through vitamin B rich food. It is common for someone to be lacking in B12 but can't see the signs because they are taking folate. For this reason you should always choose supplements that have folate and the full B vitamin range as well.

What Foods Contain Folic Acid?

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) have a recommended DV percentage for folate which is 400 and above. The simplest way to describe the DV value is whatever the percentage of the ingredient is, that represents the percentage of your daily intake. In one day you may eat two 25% DV folic acid items, followed by five 10% DV folic acid items to make your total daily intake of folic acid 100%. All cereal that has 100% DV fortified folic acid is a simple and great daily source. The higher the DV percentage, the better a source of folic acid the particular food is.

With a high 45% DV, just 3 OZ of braised beef liver is a fantastic way to get folic acid. The next step down is 25% for any 25%DV serving of cereal or half a cup of boiled immature cowpeas / blackeyes.

Another good folic acid source is spinach, and only a half cup has a 25% folic acid DV. The same amount of boiled great northern beans or at least four spears of asparagus would have a 20% DV. These are both excellent foods for your daily folic acid intake, and offer many other health benefits as well.

Some other foods with good folic acid levels are green peas, broccoli, lettuce and avocado. They are all about 10-15% DV, as well as orange juice, vegetarian beans, raw spinach and wheat germ. Pretty much all leafy vegetables which are dark green in color have high folic acid values.

Even if you feel you have adequate intake of foods that contain folic acid quiet often, it really needs to be maintained daily to prevent problems. There are so many positive health benefits to ensuring you have an optimum vitamin B and folate level, it is worth it for everyone to take a dietary supplement also.

Cereals, vegetables, liver and juices can all be made a part of your daily diet plan to prevent illness or disease due to folic acid deficiencies. By checking the DV value for foods you should be able to easily make up your 100% folic acid DV per day.
